Orthopedic Surgery Training

I was inspired to pursue medicine by my parents, who worked in orthodontics, and over time, I discovered an interest in musculoskeletal health. This interest and passion led me to attend Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, where I received the Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship, spending a year focused on fundamental science research.

After medical school, I completed my orthopedic surgery residency at UC Davis in Sacramento, California. During residency, I also participated in a research fellowship, where I was fortunate to secure multiple grants, including funding from the Orthopaedic Trauma Association to study fracture healing. My research work has been recognized with several awards, including honors for best papers at three conferences.

To further specialize in orthopedic care, I completed two fellowships. My first fellowship in orthopedic trauma at UC Davis allowed me to focus on fractures of the hip, pelvis, and leg, as well as advanced techniques in osteotomy and leg realignment. My second fellowship, dedicated to hip surgery in Seattle, Washington, gave me extensive experience in advanced hip procedures.

Through these experiences, I’ve developed a strong foundation in both orthopedic surgery and trauma care, and I’m committed to providing the highest level of care to my patients.

Orthopedic Academics

I’m an active member of the academic communities focused on hip and orthopedic trauma. I participate in several organizations, including AO Trauma North America, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, the Anterior Hip Foundation, and the AOA.

Throughout my career, I’ve delivered numerous lectures and presentations at local, national, and international events, and I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to several prestigious medical journals through my published research.

Outside of the Operating Room

Outside of the operating room, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, staying active, traveling, and reading in my free time.
